The Luhrs Forty One Convertible took shape over an 18 month period of research and collaboration with customer focus groups to create the ultimate tournament ready ride of its size. While designing the battlewagon, we developed a simple maxim to keep us on track:intelligent styling, design, engineering and price. We made it our objective to build a sportfishing boat that would allow you to fish and cruise exactly the way you wanted. The offshore hull had to handle a chop, be stable in a trough yet remain shallow enough for island-hopping. A broad beam would be necessary-to shoulder the sea and maximize exterior and interior spaces, providing plenty of room from cockpit to salon. The flybridge of the Luhrs Forty One Convertible is the largest bridge of any 41 foot fishing boat made today. And it's one bridge that's also great for entertaining. You'll be amazed at the abundance of seating and seating options. The standard portside jump seat is sue to be a favorite with guests, and you won't find a reclining lounge like the one here on any other boat in this class. Forward, a flip-up table accompanies a bench seat, and lockable rod storage provides room for up to 12 rods. The layout is smart and spacious, right down to the placement of the electronic controls and the abundance of space for radios and other electronics. The cored hardtop comes standard and includes interior and cockpit lighting, rocket launchers and a three sided enclosure. The molded steps of the BridgeWalk (tm) provide convenient mobility between bridge and cockpit. The cockpit itself is a sportfisherman's paradise, with a generous array of standards placed just where they should be. The Forty One Convertible comes with dual washdowns, a transom fishbox and two insulated in-deck fishboxes with macerators. You'll also find a 37-gallon livewell with a high-capacity, low-volume pump. Gear-heads will love the headroom and overall space in the engine room with easy accessibility all around the engines, diamond plate overhead and ample lighting. An aft lazarette houses the pumps, strainers, day tank, batteries, generator and even accomodates overhead rod storage.

The Forty One features a beautifu., flared Carolina style bow with a 56-degree entry for a wave-splitting, dry ride and and 18-degree deadrise at the transom to soften the re-entry. The power to get to the bite and back safely is accomplished with proven engine and drive components from high quality manufacturers like Cummins, Yanmar and ZF Transmissions. This powerful fishing machine was engineered to meet the demands of the fisherman who enjoys the hunt as much as the fight. Piloting the craft is done in comfort from the raised helm, which has a large panel windshield that's sealed water tight to the hardtop. This design makes for a dry ride and also eliminates blind spots caused by eye-level winshield frames. A Devine helm chair fronts a helm pod with electronic controls, full instrumentation and room left over for all the latest fish-finding and navigational technology. To port is seating for two, with a smartly designed backrest that flips forward for watching the fishing action from the bridge. On the strike, the 100-square foot cockpit allows plenty of fish-fighting space. You can quickly rig goggle eyes from the 50-gallon transom livewell or take full advantage of the molded bait-prep station with tackle drawers and a sink. Two 45-gallon in-sole fishboxes with macerators will gobble up the keepers. An optional refrigerator/freezer can be added to the ready box.
